This is actually kind of out of pocket for his usual takes - hes pretty consistent on terminally online people being waaaaaaaay too comfortable with violent rhetoric and no real repercussions, but he's also usually been pretty consistent on not trying to use his audience to brigade and harass people.

I think he might be brain fucked because his dad is dying in front of him, and apparently charlie kirks kids were at the event when he got got.

it feels like an extension of the movement against payment processors which he was involved in, where everyone kept pressure on them asking about why they were forcing hosts to ban legal content

I do think there's a difference between "go harass the person and tell them they're horrible and seek them out IRL to punch them" and "these people are violating standards expected of them in their place of business and there's a chain of command to deal with this"

I am personally not in favor of peoples' lives being ruined over first amendment protected speech, but y'know, see recent major event, it's been going on for so long and if that's our societal norms now, at least it shouldn't be one-sided, equal opportunity for everyone
