The prospect is morbidly interesting. Ain’t voting for him or anything. But removed from his presidency, it was neither the hitlering some were scared of nor the hitlering some wanted. The pro trump guys are acting like he was shackled, and this time, he won’t be. Meanwhile, the Earth didn’t crack open and demons from hell didn’t swarm our world. Vast majority of Americans didn’t see a dramatic change until the last year, and that was the pandemic. So I don’t think the hyperbole works in the same capacity as before. The covid and the pandemic also weirdly created a sense of nostalgia for the trump years. Not because of anything he did. It’s associating those before times with him. Realistically, they’ll reanimate Bob Dole’s body and he’ll take it.
