But what do I know, I've only read about history of the world not labeled everything above nomadic hunter/gather tribes as "colonization" or "white" like the experts.

success, even represented simply by navigating past goombas and pits to be celebrated by fireworks at the end of the level, is an anathema of a concept
but the alternative is a game where everything is already unlocked or given to you and there is no challenge or purpose to any of it
almost like...that's an effective little microcosm of what their worldview would do to humanity
