People who suddenly don't seem all that concerned about ending the killing as soon as possible and instead act like Hamas has a fighting chance

I can certainly understand the feeling but I also wonder what exactly the alternative is. Hamas more than happy to sacrifice Palestinians, they literally said as much, and so far the situation in Palestine is only getting worse and worse.
Unlike Ukraine there's no semblance of hope that they can win back territory for better negotiations
