I love imagining the unspoken alternative reality to this scenario:

"And then America elected a Nazi dictator TWICE"
"So America is a Nazi Dictatorship now?"
"Well...no..."
"So they fought off the occupation and killed the Nazi dictator?"
"Also no."
"Then how did the dictatorship end?"
"Well, presidents in the US are limited to serving two 4-year terms in their lifetime. And since the Nazi dictator had served two full terms, he had to leave the White House."
"And he just...left peacefully????"
"...yes."
