I just love how much the ActiBlizzard purchase has completely fucked Microsoft over and basically set them on the path to going third-party  I don't think there's ever been such a major fuck-up like it in gaming.

like what, was it so expensive for their gaming division that they couldn't fund any new games, which was what they really needed? have actiblizz's games all been shit and losing them tons of money?

Their mad aquisition spree hasn't really worked out for them at all and Game Pass hasn't moved consoles in the way they imagined. iirc as part of the ActiBlizz purchase going through they agreed to still release COD on Playstation, and slowly other previously exclusive titles are making their way over too. Plus there's stuff like Perfect Dark and Everwild being canned. Just awful mismanagement after hedging their bets on Game Pass and acquiring entire studios and publishers to basically buy exclusives to sell consoles.
