I read some  that Hasan has asked his many girlfriends and female hangers-on to be the first line of defense for him, because girls are A) assumed to be more empathetic and concerned for the welfare of living things, and B) harder to shit on when they are wrong--because then you're being mean to a girl you evil person!

After Hasan dropped this misogyny claim, I think the theory has some merit.

EDIT: to clarify, I think it has merit specifically because the reaction to Hasan's Angels hasn't really been that misogynistic, but Hasan is still running with "the plan"? It's mostly pointing and laughing as they get their stories and explanations all crossed up and contradictory.
