One time my ex wife and I were listening to NPR, and they were talking about the psychology behind family annihilators...those dudes who kill their whole family and then themselves. 

We were walking into the grocery store and were chatting about this, and I told her that she could at least rest easy knowing that I could never be a family annihilator. She asked how I could be so sure, and I said "because I would never kill myself".  

And yes, she did bring this story up during the divorce proceedings.
