D&D is evil because it's satanic witchcraft, to because orcs are black people and it portrays entire races of monsters as irredeemably evil instead of just a culture

marilyn manson is evil because he's a devil worshipper, to because he's got SA allegations

I know I constantly make fun of them for this but they really do believe "that's different because this complaint is legit and this one is not" and stop thinking there. The fact that other people think the complaint is legit or vice versa is just dismissed for being wrong. I'm somewhat baffled there's no psychological or German or better yet German psychological term for this mentality.

"Lacking theory of mind" doesn't really capture it because that's not really dismissive in the same way.
