I feel like these people are clamping at the bit to justify their victim complex, and when you message them and tell them they're parasites or whatever (which they are), they more easily rationalize this stuff.  By their nature, they're not capable of feeling shame.  Don't fall for it, Jansen!  This self-effacing lifestyle is its own punishment.
