I gotta be honest I don't think the Teen Vogue spokesperson is doing anything wrong or cringe there, in fact it's actually quite ballsy and true to their beliefs to do something like that afterwards. If the rest of the wokies had the same cajones they'd win more battles.

I think it's "wrong" in the sense that a bunch of people on what sounds like a sinking ship got let go, in large part because they misunderstood the target audience of their primary product, and are acting aggrieved about it.

It's like me and my besties are hired to run a chicken sandwich shop, but start instead selling garden tools and seeds. Maybe we get a very-online fanbase of home gardening enthusiasts. And then we all get fired. 

Who's fault is that? I could get on a soapbox about it, but I'd look pretty silly. Especially if I'd been gainfully employed doing the guerilla garden market for like a decade. All good things must come to an end. 

(Also I'm pretty sure this trans person is AFAB. The denim overall look is pretty typical of the "I transed to nonbinary" crowd.)
