I think everyone more or less just capitulated to Trump. Here's Trump openly calling for Bessent to pressure the fed chair.

And anyone with influence and money is happily playing along with the latest dog and pony show "US Saudi Investment Forum".

Trump has just completely gutted the rival power structures by giving the corporations what they want. 

I don't think there has ever been a US President as powerful as Trump currently is.
