Wouldn't the Trump administration make the exact same argument to vessels from Venezuela?

The US and Houthis are both breaking international law.

Except application of international law isn't consistent for our allies. Israel is breaking international law by blocking aid into Gaza on top of the active genocide. The US doesn't do anything besides symbolically wave its finger. If the US actually was consistent with addressing violations of international law, Yemen wouldn't need to enact its own blockade.

This is the main issue, liberals are totally ok with international law being used to intervene, if it serves as opposition to the "enemy".

It sounds less like you care about international law and more like “why are not terrorists allowed to also bypass it?”
