Basically she's saying, like these people often do, that she doesn't take Muslims as seriously believing what they profess to believe. She needs anti-Islam sentiment to have no justification at all, so therefore Islam has to mean nothing at all. To anyone. Especially Muslims.

i think what makes me increasingly angry about anti-Gamer sentiment is it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you live in a country where politics often features discussions about the ills of Gamers, that will increasingly force Gamers to the fringes

if people feel barred, gatekept or oppressed because of how mainstream society views Gamers, that ends up in severe grievance politics territory. We need to ask ourselves why a young man who grew up in Australia was radicalised here and it's never as simple as evil person
