I'm genuinely curious what people on here think about this? I can't be the only one that finds it weird and confusing how no one talks about the world basically funding a Brigade linked to far-right neo nazis. Just to make it clear, I'm not some kind of Russia or Putin supporter; I just find this weird and confusing.

There's nothing to be confused about. There's at least one asshole in any place. Racism is not ok, we know this.

Azov is doing their country (and the U.S/Europe) a service by killing russian invaders. They should be supported. The act of one or more assholes does not change that fact.

Not a fan of Azov nor using POWs as comedic props for racist jokes, but in all honestly that's pretty low on my list of concerns when it comes to what's happening to Ukraine as an incredibly costly 4 year long invasion of their country rages on.

Probably because there are a million better things to talk about than the small far right group pressed into service to fend off a foreign invasion. The war features far right groups on both sides. Would you like to talk about what Russia does to Ukrainian POWs?

As a black person I was initially very concerned about the war, but almost immediately all of the racist info and news started coming out of Ukraine and I just kind of stopped caring after that.

You can only care about mass civilian suffering from an illegal invasion for a war that is to snuff out Ukraine's existence and live under the Russian boot, under certain conditions?

Does this logic process of yours also apply to others, like the Palestinian genocide when you hear all the anti-LGBT policy and actions that goes on there by Hamas and PA then?

Or is it selective?

I can see that this is a very difficult subject for this forum. People take any criticism of Azov as an attack on Ukraine and get hyper defensive and start hurling accusations and insults at the poster rather than engage with the issue itself. Nazis are either a small part of the Ukrainian army that can be easily removed or they aren't.


As for why we should care, our tax dollars are funding a group that hates us non-white people and has trained American and European white nationalists to come back and harm us.


The solution is for donor countries to force Ukraine to remove Azov. That's it. No one is calling for the abandonment of Ukraine here. And no, this doesn't need to wait until the war ends. Based on what people have said in this thread Azov is a very small part of the army.

It's not a difficult subject. People can spot Kremlin talking points from far away

No one is removing units from a existential war. Especially not units that have contributed a lot and have significant experience. None of you live in reality. Not only does this make zero sense, it can spark things like mutiny, as they are frontline units. Azov did not start this war

You are so concerned over shit when it's relevant to you but will ignore parallels when its inconvenient even if your same logic process applies.
