Again I ask, why do immigration officers have fucking guns? 

If there is a threat to officers, then they should request a police presence. Police are trained to deal with violent offenders. Immigration officers are not.

The social media content that immigration officers are contractually obligated to film doesn’t hit as hard if they aren’t pointing guns in people’s faces. It literally just comes down “ooh rah look how strong we are!!”
