Unless they were winter sports stars immigrating why would you assume they'd already be good enough to qualify for the Olympic team? 
Like even their kids would take at least a decade before they could be good enough.
It's funny because you can go on Twitter and see racists complaining about some mostly white country having a bunch of Black players or whatever. And usually those are stories of guys whose families have been in the country for decades and they're like third generation and grew up doing the sport just like everyone else in the country. So exactly the "ideal" immigration dream that never comes up in either side of this crap. (To be fair, a lot of these complaints involve soccer and people who don't seem to understand how free agency works or that teams haven't been made up of players from the area in forever.)
