I think Echoes has a problem understanding that Capcom isn't a hivemind either. Clearly the devs behind street fighter see value in bikini skins, the (modern) developers of resident evil don't.

Or that the fanbases are probably quite distinct. He likes both so for him it's all connected. Also seems not to grasp that Chris and Leon are kind of unique in Resident Evil and its fanbase because they've been main characters across so many games and show up a lot even when they aren't. The women feel more familiar only because Capcom remade the entire series recently. Jill and Claire haven't "led" a main game since 1999/2000. Almost nobody talks about anybody's "portrayals" in the Wii rail shooter or whatever.
