To put on my loser unlicensed psychoanalysis hat, I'd argue that people who have problems distinguishing between fiction and reality in all instances are the ones who get wrecked by porn and it's not actually to do with the porn itself or the early age of their exposure to it.
I'm far more in favor of the idea that porn desensitizes you to what you personally find acceptable absent any actual experience. That tracks with many other things in life, especially at high levels of usage. The reason it seems "weird" with porn is because it's an abstraction rather than a real experience. (Shame from acknowledging being a voyeur then rather than a participant?)
