The mods and their clique of mentally ill forum activists ran most of the userbase out of the forum. That's why threads are much smaller on era nowadays. NPD threads, game show threads, game tournament threads, etc used to be way way bigger.
The sonypony mods on gaming side cleared that place out of any dissenting voices.
I imagine whatever ad revenue era's masters make nowadays must be a tiny fraction of what it was pre-2020
Reee has become a look and read only forum, These days I only really post in film threads occasionally, gaming side is trash filled with virtue signaling simpletons who are scared to share their real thoughts on games lest they get dogpiled and banned. Occasionally they'll attempt to challenge the mods before getting beaten back into line.
The janitor mods and their acolytes created a culture of snitches , tattletales and secret discords where they can decide who has wrong thought and therefore can be banished. Its telling that after the purges they now have no option than to turn on one another with even more insane purity tests. They're finally running out of shadows to chase.
Remember back on Gaf when NDP was always without fail a hilarious Thursday night with raging fanboys, actual clever gifs and twitter posts and would go on for 60+ pages look at the state of that thread now barely 3 pages if that.
PCera mostly gone, Xbots pushed into their own thread or off on Xboxera and any Xbox thread made outside of that gets overun by Sony weirdos including a few mods, the hardcore Nintoddlers off on their own forums, PoliEra, got burned to the ground, AsianEra, Muslim Era, most of them left. How many people have these lot chased off?
Only thing safe on there are ugly men calling themselves 'women' and their cucked supporters who have taken the forum hostage for the last few years. Or disturbing weirdos like Cyborgoftheechoes on internet day release from his rubber room.
