I'm glad they aren't being misgendered too because I feel like the that would be a distraction from the actual story which is why this happened and how do we stop it from happening again. The fact that they recognised there was a potential for danger and guns were removed from the house, and then they were given BACK by police after the owner petitioned should be looked at. Why were the guns not in a safe, and if they were why were they given access? Police failure and irresponsible gun ownership should be the talk of the day, and maybe the effects of whatever drug cocktail this person was on (or what they weren't on, who knows).
