Ok gamers here is a dilemma. Xbox is dead what road do we take western man?
My guess is the new Resident Evil will bring me back into gaming. I'll probably pick it up on PC as I'm not sure how well it runs on Switch 2. Overall I'm finally seeing interesting games again John Wick, Dead or Alive, Castlevania, the works.
Now the question is with Xbox dead, where do we continue with the not-Nintendo releases?
Switch 2 only (cheapest option post Xbox but some games won't release)
Switch 2 + PC (RTX4070 Ti runs nearly everything but the CPU/mainboard and RAM are ageing, replacing it will be expensive)
Switch 2 + PS5 Pro(?) (PS5/PS5 Pro is sort of expensive but cheaper than replacing RAM at this point and still available)
Steam Deck is "ok" but like most Linux/Windows Handheld devices just too bothersome compared to Switch 2 and PS5.
I feel like jumping on PS5 Pro now is a wise choice considering how the market is moving. I don't see a PS6 release until 2029 at the earliest tbh.
At the same time 1 PS5 Pro is 10 Switch 2 games plus with Switch 2 I'm going all digital so it won't take up much space.
Just trade in the old Wii + Xbox stuff for eshop credit, hope the PC chugs along for the few games that don't run on Switch 2 and be done with it or go with PS5 + Switch 2?
