350k implants for minors per year?  That cannot possibly be true.

I searched to chase down this claim and this is what Google's AI response at the top was without me seeking it:

Breast augmentation is consistently one of the most popular cosmetic procedures, with over 360,000 procedures performed annually in the United States, according to American Society of Plastic Surgeons data from 2024 and 2021 reports.

So 97% of the surgeries are apparently done on children.

And a fifth of all worldwide are done on American children:

Meanwhile, a more questionable source than a guy on Twitter, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons says only ~2800, half as many as reductions (as one would expect):

And that’s specifically including 18 and 19 year olds, so I have to imagine the numbers for minors specifically is even smaller.
