This whole situation just keeps being crazy to me. We went through almost a decade now of "safe spaces" "trigger warnings" and banning speakers because they had some different opinion on gender etc. but now when there are protests where people are cool with the atrocities committed by Hamas, anonymous anti-semitic messages on campus being spread, all causing Jewish students to feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe, the reaction is "suck it up"

Your problem is that you were listening to what they said and not what they meant. Common mistake.
