Kate’s areas of expertise are real-time game engines, multiplayer cloud powered gaming, large scale content workflows, and managing distributed engineering teams. Currently fascinated by ML/AI for games and procedural content generation, open metaverse technologies, and end-to-end cloud powered game-development.

Kate is passionate about diversity and inclusion in games, both in representation and equity within the game development community. She is an executive sponsor for Women In Gaming and The Rainbow Coalition, an LGBTQIA+ employee advocacy group at Microsoft’s The Coalition, Xbox Game Studio and is on the board for Women In Gaming International.
