I imagine when people hear my power's out they probably think I'm suffering from lack of stalking people on the internet or posting hate speech or whatever, and it's like no, phones exist these days. I don't even get Titanfall shakes. The worst part is definitely the whole inability to make food and shower (I know these aren't issues for the average Era poster) and DO MOST ANYTHING WHEN IT'S DARK. I don't have candle lamps and the battery lamps are all those LED EMERGENCY types that will just slowly blind you instead, I'm reluctant to try and use my grill for making tea or whatever, I have no icebox or daily ice man, going back to 1776 is not a viable option.

Underrated is finding out just how often I check the time on things that are instead blank when the power's out and have to go out of my way to find out what the time is. In the second day I find myself already guesstimating by using the sun's location rather than pulling out my phone. "Maybe my mom still has that sundial" I begin to wonder...
