Body cam shows the moment deputies from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office encounter a military pilot who ejected from his F/A-18 Hornet before it slammed into a mountainside on June 13 near Rimrock Lake.

The pilot was able to walk away with minor injuries. He told deputies he was doing circles over the lake during low-level training when he had to bail. The cause is still under investigation but the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing said the aircraft had a "non-fatal aviation mishap."

The crash caused a wildfire in the area that took several hours to get under control.
