One thing that stupid people really struggle with is the timeline of ideas. Like it makes absolute sense that ideas develop and new paradigms emerge as technology advances and human behaviour changes. But the absolute insistence of some primordial spirit in the human body makes it hard for people to understand when ideas start. So that's why you get things like imperialist colonialism in the columbian exchange, or capitalism being a driver for imperialism, when these ideas are self evidently and demonstrably anachronistic. So it is with Gender. Did you know that the idea of Gender is from the mid 20th century? It literally didn't exist until then, because gender is a social construct.

However, like the mormons, the lie is sustained by claiming a spurious history. Which is why they try and claim that the nazis started the holocaust with trans people, when the guys organising the holocaust were made up of cross dressing homosexuals. I can say that knowing that not all gay people are nazis, but also, I am cognisant of the fact that actually many of the worst and most brutal genociders in history were queer and being queer appears, over the long run, to have absolutely fuck all consequence on left v right opinions.

It's also based on this fiction that the Nazis kept quiet about what they wanted to do. That the Nazis were just these regular ol modern conservatives (since regular ol modern conservatives are Nazis) talking about lowering taxes and being harsh to criminals rather than running around yelling about the need to end the Republic and exterminate the Jews while engaging in literal street battles with the police/communists/etc. They are always telling us how Nazis and racists try to "hide their powerlevel" when anyone who has ever experienced either knows this never happens and they will proudly boast about it to anyone who will listen.

If the Nazis really targeted trans people first there'd be a whole bunch of diatribes about it. The reality is boring and makes the narcissists feel not special enough since it doesn't make them the center of events half a century before they were born, the Nazis organized a day for the people to "spontaneously" to burn "corrupt" books and some dudes in Berlin on the day looking for books to burn went "hey, the sex research place!"

edit: They also talk about this having set back trans research for "decades" when the guy escaped and kept doing research. And he was world famous for his existing research, which had been published all over. They view it as this big building of top secret information that the Nazis knew they had to eliminate rather than an actual research institute doing research institute things.
