The show gets a flood of 1 star reviews for the season four finale where a character is killed with titles like "DONE WITH THIS SHOW" and "THANKS FOR TELLING ME I SHOULD KILL MYSELF" and "WE'RE NEVER ALLOWED HAPPINESS" and "TOXIC AND HARMFUL" so on. I think this review explains it concisely:

They had a whole host of other characters they could dramatically off. But they chose one of their queer characters and I'm sick to death of it. Don't bother with this episode. Don't bother with this show. It's pointlessly depressing, irritatingly blase with subjects that should not be taken lightly, and generally has writers who have no sense of the communities they're playing with.
This episode is bad, and retroactively made me regret investing any time at all in this series.
