Every couple months there’s a curry expo event in Okubo park past Kabukicho. It’s always been a shithole of host clubs and guys walking around looking like Seymour Guado. But now it’s old guys and strung out night ladies. It’s really a sad scene. Anyway, I also wanted to check out this cafe set in an old cabaret club. I go into this nondescript building and up these huge set of red stairs. At the top this lady opens the door and tells me they only open after midnight. Definitely the inspiration for Mario 64.

Unfortunately I’m around there again and they don’t come out in the sun. But I did pass by a club advertising “premium newhalfs”. You might be interested.
