What’s amazing about this Gay story is how every new fact makes her and their handling of it look worse. Like how she is of a privileged upbringing and the works she stole were from black women who didn’t have the same advantages. Two ways to look at it: she viewed them as beneath her or she didn’t think she’d get caught. Then there’s that Harvard hasn’t docked her pay despite changing her role. She’s getting upwards of $900k annually for less work. 

If anything, the people flipping out must see themselves as vulnerable. They know they’re unqualified and  the slightest due diligence will reveal their fraudulent person. Yet, the consequences aren’t getting fired or losing face or going hungry.
