The whole AI stuff seems a bit fickle

here's the thing, if you're not a fucking lazy moron company drone, you run it locally and it will never freak out when the company you're subscribing to randomly tweaks things behind the scenes and fucks it all up

if you run it yourself you have total control, can be backed up and restored in case of emergency, and costs one lump sum for a good PC and GPU rather than a constant subscription

only thing is that local models are a little worse than ChatGPT but getting better all the time, Mistral is creating some amazing stuff
