don't know if this really belongs here, maybe we should have an elon musk thread again but the furor died down after a while

however it seems that musk in his infinite wisdom has just decided that you can't view tweets on twitter without being logged in, presumably in an effort to curb scraping of content into AI or something

interestingly, embedded tweets here still seem to show up

In trying to find information about this, most sites and blogs reporting it link back to Twitter. Embedded tweets show, yeah, but it’s surfacing how modern internet revolves around Twitter.

I’ll freely admit to feeling in the dark having no access to Twitter. Haven’t decided if it’s a bad thing yet. I’m resolved to never sign up. If this is the norm going forward, whatever.
