OK, NSW police have now declared the Church stabbing a "terror attack".

Should be a fun few days laughing at reactionary idiots.

"We believe there are elements that are satisfied in terms of religious, motivated extremism and of course, the intimidation of the public through that person's acts by attending that church whilst it was being live streamed, intimidating not only the parishioners in attendance, but those parishioners who were watching online and subsequently those people that turned up to the church on the outside.

LOL, it's most likely just police being police rather than any actual organised terrorism.


EDIT 2: Troglodytes all round

The attacker who allegedly stabbed an Assyrian Christian leader inside a church told a group of angry parishioners that if the Bishop "didn't swear at my Prophet I wouldn't be here".

Bishop Mar Mari was stabbed multiple times as he spoke to the congregation in person and on a live stream going around the globe from Christ the Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley about 7pm on Monday night.

Video shows the alleged attacker lying on the ground in police custody inside the church.

At one point he speaks in Arabic to those standing over him, with sources saying what he says roughly translates to: "If he didn't swear at my Prophet I wouldn't be here. If he didn't involve himself in my religion I wouldn't be here".

NSW Police have launched a major investigation into both the stabbing and subsequent riot, with the alleged attacker's apparent mutterings set to be a key part of their efforts.
