Yes, well done; that individuals are not expected to exact 'justice' (retribution) by finding the correct perpetrator themselves and then exacting an appropriate response, that does not in turn require another individual to then exact further redress, leading to perpetual escalation, is literally the reason for having criminal justice systems.
