I thought to myself, "there is literally no way that can be true" so decided to do the absolute bare minimum of research available to me, namely wikipedia'd it.

The United Nations Human Rights Council has reported that "lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender children are subjected to electric shocks and the administration of hormones and strong psychoactive medications"

I'm big enough to admit I am wrong; electro shock treatment and psychotropics are indeed provided by the government, and do technically qualify as medical treatments.
