I’m not that invested in this particular culture battle, but I think that’s the point? Ripley, Sarah Conner, and those types were the exceptions. That’s what made them memorable. Where you see Sarah in T2, muscular and messy, that contrast with who she was in the first. She’s in a lot of ways a regular horror movie girl in The Terminator. So imagine if T2 Sarah was in The Terminator. And imagine if that’s what nearly all ladies in movies were like. It gets boring.
Even the guy in the tweet says it. They flatten everything into one blob with stick attributes. Black man? Give him side swept dreads. Butch lady? Half shaved comb over look.
