Pence was a disaster overall and not very intelligent but Trump needed him to win the support of the conservatives who believed he wasn't conservative enough.
J.D. Vance is a smart guy, it's clear that the VC tech wing has now beaten the conservative, establishment and tea party wings of the GOP.
As usual the press did a terrible job covering the power struggle within the Republican party (and it's still partially going on behind the scenes).
As I said before old money vs. new money and a more diverse group of people stand behind Trump now.
It certainly has the Democrats and their dinosaurs shook. They had firmly locked big tech under their woke/DEI/corpo umbrella through Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Apple. All that money, data and tech flowing into the Obama and Clinton campaigns. But the new generation of entrepeneurs figured out on time that the deck was stacked against them, their freedom, achievements and innovation. I wonder if Musk calculated this when he did those mass lay-offs at Twitter. Maybe he knew that the other CEOs devoid of any ideas of their own would follow suit and that would open up a big number of highly intelligent people to the truth that they were better off outside the corpo cults and communes of Facebook and Microsoft.
Let's hope Vance can right the mistakes of the Sillicon Valley sell outs like Zuckerberg and Tim Cook. Wrestle tech free from the bureaucrats and corpo suits.
If Steve Jobs was alive today, he'd probably be backing RFK Jr. though.
