Ignoring how utterly boring those people are, I will say it was really cool when Clint Eastwood made back to back Iwo Jima films. One from the American perspective and one from the Japanese side.
In 2023 if Nolan did something like that, they’d switch to whining about him appropriating Japanese history, and he has a white savior complex.
