The movie has a character who acts that way. Literally calling out Barbie, to her face, for representing sexism and capitalism and body shaming and even says she’s a fascist. Think there’s a term for that. Preemptive self criticism as an act of dismissing it. It’s like that Gillette commercial a few years back.
