Hello and welcome to a new episode of CyberChuds. Today Nintex is taking a brief look at a brand new Korean game that isn't Stellar Blade but could make us all pretty Stellar

I tried The First Descendant on PC. I seldom play these type of GAAS games but this one looked interesting. When I started the game I could pick between some guy, a robot armor guardian and a boob window ice lady. Let's dive right in chuds and see what this game is all about.

Here is a rapid fire list of pro's and cons of The First Descendant
+ Frankly beautiful graphics in terms of looks even though she went a bit overboard with the vaseline to 'smooth out' the edges
+ Gun play is fine but lacks a bit of oompf and weight as is often the case in these type of... games
+ You can do a 'private' session as well as 'public' if you need help from someone with a little more 'experience' to join the party
+ It isn't a 'dry spell' if you don't spend any money. The game seems pretty generous in terms of basic 'equipment' drops
+ Fast travel and other convenient options are available to move around to different zones or back to Albion where all the socializing happens or doesn't happen
+ The hookshot is great and allows you to zip up high places whilst maintaining the ability to adjust the camera for a 'good look'
(insert some gameplay footage)

This is ultra settings, sans ray tracing, pants are optional
- Slow narration, especially the optional radio logs, which is like a guy talking about filing a supply complaint for 5 minutes, reminds me of AI, oh wait
- Lots of monetization, you can buy swimsuits, battle passes, new characters and lots of other fake stuff for real money
- Cookie cutter enemies (the berserker, the suicide drone, the sniper etc.)
- Cookie cutter objectives (defend computer, use radio tower, defeat big enemy)
- Some slowdown on a RTX 4070 Ti but I forgot update my drivers, so that's probably the issue

The Vulgus are flying away, yes they are called the Vulgus and their ships are shaped like
I remember reading impressions that this was a mobile game but I'm not sure I agree. Sure, the game has those big button UIs and movement is a bit floaty but it controls more like CONTROL than it does Nikke. Overall the gameplay loop is fine and fine is really all she has to be, right? A black man named Alpha is telling us what to do but doesn't trust the Guide who is a red headed woman so that is very confusing for Bunny who I am trying to unlock. Bunny is quite demanding and requires 4 items acquired through missions as well as lots of in-game coins. Of course you can also buy her heart but where is the fun in that? So I blasted my way through a wave of enemies for 2 hours and now I only need 1 more item and millions and millions of space dollars to unlock Bunny.

I wonder if Jesse Faden is somewhere up there or is this the underside of HALO Infinite, no wait I lost my way in Minecraft looking for the bathroom in Kingdom Hearts
Anyway I can see myself wasting some time in this game until she gets repetitive and my needs are no longer statisfied. If you spend money you can probably increase the time you'll enjoy your time together but I fear this one will age quickly and won't hold your interest if something better crosses your path.
