Nintex is onto something with the moral relativity offered by pseudonymous avatars. But I think it's not really a woke thing, it's more of an extension of the psychological warping that's going on by everyone's identity being defined by how people perceive them online.

it's the same reason that making video games/media with furries or weird alien creatures instantly sidesteps all inclusivity issues: no worries about black/hispanic/asian representation, no worries about islamic representation, no one tends to care if there are no gay/trans-coded whatevers because only weirdo degenerates want to think about that in that context ("is the cute little fox thing wearing a scarf that engages in zero relationships gay?!?!")
