The Vance Rogan podcast is interesting. Vance does this thing that… how best to describe. He 100% knows about a topic but adds “I think I heard” or “I may be mistaken” and other ways to add in faux humility. Again, coming off too knowledgeable can be seen as elitist, and he deliberately dumbs it down to seem personable. He’s a politician. All politicians are fake. But you can tell if he was unbound there’d be an autistic fury of specific dates and charts and names. 

Once I was talking to somebody with a Zelda tattoo. I had to pretend I didn’t know it was from 2004’s Minish Cap for the GBA, and that Link’s hat is named Ezlo. Agony.

is it really strategic? I just do that in case I'm not remembering correctly and don't want people blaming me for spreading misinformation
