An issue I think that is not being talked about enough though is that voters didn't like it that Biden got thrown into the dumpster.
Yes his approval rating was low but he was still the President that a lot of union guys voted for and it made the cries about threats to democracy sound hollow.
In 2020 a lot of voters specifically wanted scranton Joe as their candidate because they didn't want the other more 'radical' primary candidates like Kamala.
They spit them all in the face by air dropping her into the campaign and having Biden resign by Tweet.
I know this was the sticking point of a few Democrat friends near me. They were uncomfortable that Kamala was given the nod so quickly and felt their primary vote was a waste. They wanted Biden to run and thought no one else could beat Trump.
