To me malicious incompetence is not something that people should risk, but that is on you guys. (And my own country men, to be fair)
AOC and Trump “honesty” is just because they are very bad liars that some people really want to believe their are “truthful” while others see their BS as being sincere.
I distrust governments, but I don’t exactly hate them to like this kind of politician, because in the end they end being the worst and more damaging in the long run.
