Tariffs are stupid and appeal to stupid people. None of this shit is going to be manufactured in the West and all of it is just going to cost people in the West more money. 

Is someone just going to spin up a high tech manufacturing facility to bring electronics manufacturing back to the US and Europe? What about heavy industry stuff?

They will play hardball with Canada and Mexico but ultimately target China and some others they dislike and pressure everyone else to play ball in dragging China through the mud.
With Russia bleeding out and Iran limping along the sharks simply smell the blood in the water.

I wonder if Thiel, Sacks, Musk and other Silicon Valley bros have been "Russian appeasers" simply to speed up its demise. Knowing full well that if Russia continued the war thinking there was a chance Trump would help them out, they would completely destroy themselves.
