They were clearly saying we lose elections because we try to shame people any chance we get. It's being said in various threads since the election. It's meant as a troll, but more importantly it's false.

The idea of Democrats trying to reframe Thanksgiving as "Truthsgiving" would just be easy ammunition for the right wing. It's a stupid thought exercise because it's not going to happen, but the broader idea of Democrats not connecting with voters because they're smug and self-righteous is a real concern in my opinion.

And I think that's what most people were responding to with the OP before it was edited. The post has an air of smugness and shame, like, "I just educated myself and I WILL NOT BE ENGAGING IN THIS PRACTICE ANYMORE".

And of course the Era brigade has to come in and start shitting on white people and their fragility, even though no one was denying the actual content in the OP. Great community we have here.

I really hate the term "Karen", but Resetera really is a whole forum full of Karens who think that because they have blue hair and tuck their cock between their legs that they aren't a stereotypical Karen.

The whole forum just wants to constantly speak to the manager report posts to the mods...and the mods encourage the behaviour.
