even with a sale going on, kind of says a lot when it's a 7 year old game and people are actively choosing to spend their time not on the latest releases but on a game that old, specifically rejecting everything that's just come out

like, in 7 years when veilguard is 80% off, is it also going to do those numbers?

Suicide Squad was on sale for $4, 95% discount, and the player count only jumped to about 2000.

And, yeah, these people are corporate whores but a relatively small budgeted original game started on kickstarter matching a north of $200million sequel from EA should be seen as a good thing.

Being fair, the Suicide Squad game burned a lot of goodwill early on. While, I think, part of the game is because dumb Cape War shit… a lot are also legitimate grievances and how underwhelming the DLC seems to be.
