One thing that surprised me is that I watched a few newer movies ones made this and last year...and while they could be considered woke they aren't half bad they are the rental store type fodder that you watched back in the day, and they weren't great or anything, but you still didn't feel like you wasted your money or time!
I can safely recommend a few...
Totally Killer Back to The Future meets direct to video slasher flick...set in modern times and the 80's!
It's a Wonderful Knife, and yes it's exactly like it sounds it's a Wonderful Life but a slasher flick!
Violent Night it's about a tired of the world Santy Claus, and this movie turns into a Die Hard knock off with some awesome fucking kills! Well it's not like Die Hard wasn't meme'd into being a Christmas movie!
I watched Street Trash yesterday and that was thing...loved the practical effects and stayed for the old movie just for the hell of it nudity... I also watched the Street Trash Remake/Sequel/Reboot, that was produced in South Africa it was pretty out there but still had a blast with it! Now that I thought about it some more it's more like a spiritual sequel to District 9 than Street Trash! It's not that I didn't with the original but the bums which were the main characters were absolute scum! But then again just about everybody was too, truth be told!
