Hobart’s Museum of Old and New Art has been ordered to allow “persons who do not identify as ladies” entry to its Ladies Lounge art installation after losing a legal battle.

The judgment, handed down by the Tasmanian civil and administrative tribunal on Tuesday, found Mona was in contravention of the state’s Anti-Discrimination Act and ordered Mona to allow men to access the installation within 28 days.

“Within 28 days from the date of this order Moorilla Estate Pty Ltd is to cease refusing entry to the exhibit known as the Ladies Lounge at the Museum of Old and New Art by persons who do not identify as ladies,” the judgment said.

The New South Wales man Jason Lau took legal action against Mona, claiming that being denied entry into the Ladies Lounge when he visited the museum last April due to his gender was a contravention of Tasmania’s Anti-Discrimination Act.

It's exactly this type of diet-lite wokeist commercial activism that I hate. 

A true reinventing of the Tomb Raider franchise would pit the noble indigenous tomb defender against the hordes of invading tomb raiders who are intent on spreading their colonialist, capitalist and white supremacist ideology. 

Of course, to be authentic and to avoid cultural appropriation, only indigenous people who have not progressed past stone age tools would be hired to work on the game. Their lack of computer programming skills should not preclude them from being the lead project manager. 

Sweet Baby Rays Inc would of course be brought in as consultants to ensure that the black Canadian woman's perspective on indigenous Central American and South East Asian tribespeople is represented and there would definitely be a trans component where the trans tribesperson is impervious to all criticism enemy weapons.

I wouldn't say the character is ugly but it's pretty blatant at this point how female characters keep getting adjusted while male characters have a 1:1 likeness to the real life model. In this case they pretty clearly gave the character a broken nose and a cleft chin

A court has heard that the founder and CEO of a women-only social media app will not address a transgender woman as “Ms”, saying “I don’t think it’s kind to expect a woman to see a man as a woman”.

Roxanne Tickle is suing Giggle for Girls and its CEO, Sall Grover, for alleged unlawful discrimination after Tickle’s membership of the female only networking app was revoked in September 2021. Tickle is seeking damages.

“No,” Grover answered. When asked if that was kind, Grover said: “I don’t think that it’s kind to expect a woman to see a man as a woman.”

When questioned whether she understood that the product was deeply offensive to the applicant, Grover said that “offence is very subjective”.

The statement also said that the policy was based upon current evidence that "strongly suggests there is retained physical advantage following the suppression of testosterone levels in those that have experienced the biological advantages of testosterone at any time in life."

The only exception for transgender athletes was for those who could "establish to WN's satisfaction that they have not experienced the biological effects of testosterone at any time".
